Ride Baby Ride

It warm weather pretty much everywhere. Although you may not like it so, it great to get a cruiser or moutain bike and ride. It is great for burning some calories and it's great because you can ride around the block, up and down the road or anywhere you heart desires and for how long or short you want to go. Walmart is having a special on bikes. There is a cruiser for 69.00 not bad or try a garage sale if you are not sure if you will use it. If you were to start off with 10 minutes a day would be a start and not too expensive. It is good exercise for your legs as well. So hop on be safe and don't forget water to keep hydrated. xo Barbara Jeanne

Keep Slim By Speed walking

It is very simple yet effective. All you need to do is walk in a fast speed and remember keep it heel toe, heel toe. Swing those arms as if they are swinging back and forth. Make sure you take you resting pulse before and after your walk. You should never feel as though you are exhausted. After the walk refresh with a gatorade to bring back your electrolytes and munch on a cup of watermelon. Xo Barbara Jeanne

Summer Munching

Summer has the best fresh veggies and fruit. There are many more types to choose from and they are quite yummy. It makes snacking a lot healthier. The only problem that might occur is that many people feel they can eat as much as possible. That is not the case. Some fruits can be high in calories than other. The easy part is that you can have a cup or two of any fruit and it will be okay. You can Google how many calories everything you eat, which is great. Be careful with the melons and high sugar fruit. Remember you cannot eat as much as you want. To lose weight you need to keep your intake from 1000 calories to 1500 for women and 1500 to 2000 for men. Do not think you can eat your meals and then eat as much fruit as you would like, you will be gaining weight. It also depends on your daily activity, if you are active or in chill mode. Stay fit by eating fruit and vegetables but include them in you daily intake of what you are eating. Fruit and veggies does your body good and gives you nutrition your body craves and needs. Spring Is Here & Summers is Around The Corner

It is time now to get serious. The warmer months are coming and we can't hide under those sweats, big sweaters and oversized clothes. Wouldn't it be nice to fit into those summer clothes you have been dreaming of? Let’s get serious, with a whole lot a fun and get to work. We begin our first ten minute video tomorrow. First one is nice and easy but a work out. It will be a upbeat high energy routine. Time goes by so fast, next thing we know it is time to throw on those summer clothes. This year let us do it with confidence of feeling fabulous. I'm looking forward to doing this with you and I hope you join me. I know it is something most of us probably really don't really want to do, but once you see you can fit in some of those clothes you have been dying to fit into, you will be thrilled. Most people give up and give in and stop. I hope you want to continue. You will see results with just a ten minute workout. The only things I ask is to take it at your own speed. Making Time For Yourself

I know it is hard to pick yourself up and exercise, dress when you have children to tend to. I know it can be exhausting after a day with screaming children and still have to get them to bed. You do need to find YOU time. It is not only healthy, it is a necessity. You need this to continue to function properly and happily. You wouldn't want to go into surgery and know the surgeon has not taken a vacation in years. Working seven days a week. That is what you do when you have children. So how do you find time in your hetic schedule, you make time. Schedule time for yourself, even if you start with twenty minutes a day. What should you do, anything that makes you happy. Relax, meditate, take a hot shower. As you learn to work with your time, inch alitlle more to do what it takes to have YOU time and ENJOY!
