Couple's That Make It Truly Rock! (Here's How)

When I see couples in their 70's and 80's, walking together holding hands, I think WOW they rock, that is what I want. People live their lives at times thinking they may not need anyone, may be too picky, or don't think they should settle. Not realizing that one day, they will be old and alone. I see so many couples heading for disaster by the way the talk and treat one another. The strange thing is most people don’t treat or behave this way with others yet they’re quick to bark and snap at their partner. Almost it they dislike this person they sleep next to each night, if one hasn’t already chosen another spot to rest their head.  We need to step back and think are we really ready to throw away a relationship because I have to say, it is very hard to find a relationship to hold near and dear to make it for the rest of your life. The pickings are limited, definitely not as easy as you think might think. So I tell everyone I counsel before you jump out make sure you will not be kicking yourself one day and that you are 100% ready with now doubts. I am not saying by any means stay and be unhappy. We all have one life and we should all be happy we deserve that in life, but make sure you are okay to be alone. Also do not find a backup before you leave, that is just down right wrong. If you have the opportunity to love, love and love hard. It’s one of the most rewarding gifts to give and receive. I gave advice to a man awhile ago; he said he used to go around like he was single when he was married. Partying, running with the boys, thinking he was the shit. At 52, he came to me and said now that he wants to find a lady to love, it's so hard and nobody wanted him. The sadness in his face broke my heart. I must add, he was a nice looking man with a good heart and good savings, you would think he would be a good catch. It truly broke my heart when he passed away from cancer at 58 alone. Dedicated to Mr. Strong...RIP and God Bless. Barbara Jeanne xo
