Choices of Life

Throughout your life you have had many choices, different paths to venture down. When you came to a fork in the road did you always pick the right choice? If you look back out your life, are you happy with the decisions you have made. Do they still even matter? Most of them probably don't. I'm sure there may be a few, like a first love or crush, still somewhere in the back of your mind. If you had a chance would you do things the same way, or would choose to do things differently. Would you have gone to college, or maybe you would have, but would have chosen a different career. Would you have the same friends, same boyfriend? Would you marry the same person? We do have more choices then we sometimes think. But yet we hear. I had no other choice. We always have had many choices in life since we could walk and talk. We had a choice who we played with, most of the time, especially as we got older. The choice to do your homework, or even to go to school. As you get older we get bigger choices to use that credit card when you have no money in the bank. Even bigger, the choices do right from wrong. We have so many choices in our life. Yet we still find reason to complain. Not happy about something. Husbands to damn lazy or a wife that nags up a storm. Children don't listen. You still have the choice to stay or leave. But yet you stay and say, once again... I have no other choice, but you do. We always seem to find reason to complain. We should love life as long as we are healthy. To have healthy children, a healthy family and friends, things are beautiful. What we should be or act seem quite different than how we behave. At times we don't seem to appreciate much. I will tell you one thing, take away good health and you have nothing. You can do what you can to be healthy but if you are not healthy it leaves you with the feeling of not only depression, a feeling of doom. Which at this point you know you don't have a choice? So next time you start to complain, how bad your life is, remember you have a choice to make your happiness. Don't wait until your choices truly do run out. Life is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you'll get, but it's your choice... don't waste them until you get to the yucky ones that you bite and put back! xo Barbara Jeanne
