Avacado Salad (Add Chicken& Make a Meal)

1 Handful of Iceberg lettuce

2 Handful of your favorite lettuce

1 Fresh Tomatos cut up

Green or Black olives..1/4 cup (your choice)

1/2 Cucumber Cut

1 Avacado cut into slices

Dressing ( by taste)

1/4 Cup of vinegar

1/4 Cup of Olive Oil..(or oil of your choice)

2 Tablespoons of Red Onion

2 cloves of fresh garlic

Basil..Onion Powder..and Garlic Power..Salt to taste

You got to use your judgement for flavor while making the dressing so simple, but so yummy!

Toss & Serve chilled...xo

Cutting Calorioes Without a Big Fuss

Here is a simply way of making sure you are not over eating and keeping it healthy at the same time. On quarter half of your plate put salad and the other quarter put your vegetables. So that makes a half of your plate. Now on the other side put what you like. A piece of pizza, steak...whatever makes you happy. A plain slice of pizza is about 300 calories. If you take the oil off it will be about fifty calorie less. Now that is amazing. As I said before I find the easiest way to lose weight is count those calories. Everything now a day has it on the package. Make sure you are getting the vitamins that you need each day and check with your doctor before you begin if you are on medication. To make losing easier it is a most to exercise in some form. Even if you start off with a brisk walk, it’s a start. Music you love helps, it motivates you to move. You can even work out to your favorite TV show as well. A half hour goes by and you’re done. Simple Steps To Do Your Body Good!!!

Today we have so many programs, book and infomercial to tell us their version of how to stay or be healthy. To me it is now going overboard. I love Dr. Oz but every week it is the same thing, what vitamins and mineral can we take for being tired or fatigue. It you put them all in a bowl, we would full enough, and we wouldn’t have to eat food. So how can we break it down to stay fit and healthy and keep it simple? To lose weight you want to count your calories that include drinks. A woman should keep it to 1500 calories and a man to 2000. Now that we have that accomplished that, next let’s talk about vitamins. All you really need is a good multivitamin that is high in vitamin B. Vitamin B is good for stress which we all have in today’s lives and society. From here we want to try and eat healthier, instead of going for all organic, which can be expensive, let’s look at ingredients. Keep dye and artificial chemicals as least as possible. Try to stay away from dye#5; it is not the best for allergies. Let us not forget that you should work out at least 10 minutes a day. It can be fun and easy. Pick three songs that are fast upbeat and dance. It can also be while you are watching your favorite show as well. Make sure you go at your own pace and stretch before and after, even if it is a minute or two. You can say that taking care of the family is good. But you need to make your breathing go above your natural breathing rate. So you want to break a sweat. Moving on, most people carry the weight of their problems on their shoulders. It is very important to take time to meditate for ten minutes. Even if you take ten minutes of quiet time, would be great.  Sitting or lying down, close your eyes and begin to go throughout your body and relax each point. Do some deep breathing, filling you belly with air and blowing it out. Do this at least four times. These simple examples will help you to live healthier without going crazy or over board. How To Succeed at Losing Weight

Losing weight seems to be hard. The older we get the harder it seems to get rid of those excess pounds. In fact it gets people more depressed to the point instead of trying to stop eating, they eat more. Next thing they realize they have piled on a few extra pounds. There are so many vitamins and minerals that we hear that we can take to move the process of losing a long. Although I find there are too many to even decide which might really help. Watching all these health shows may make you feel paranoid and you may start to self diagnose yourself that if we don’t lose the weight asap you’re doomed. So maybe instead of feeling that sense of low esteem because your scale is going up instead of down, you should know there is a simple way to lose. First off, don’t be hard on yourself and have a goal. Start of at five pounds & these five are easier to take off, because it is mostly water weight. Next five pounds are fairly easy if you count your calories and take ten minutes a day to start to exercise. If not sure how, start off simple. Put on two songs you really enjoy that have an up beat pace that makes you dance, now that you have happy feet move them. You can increase your workout by adding songs. Try to start and end with a quick stretch. Stress is a big factor with that belly fat, so it can help to close your eyes five minutes a day and just relax deep breath to let out the stress. Know that you can achieve your goal if you stay positive. If you have set backs take a big breathe and keep going. You will come to realize as time goes by those big breaths you take get less and less. You will feel better as you go, so believe in you and you will succeed.

Gotta Love Fruit

Keep an assortment of fruit cut up in your frig. I love watermelon and cherries. A cup of watermelon is 46 calories and a cup of cherries is 96, yummy. Be careful you can eat fruit and gain weight. Remember fruit has sugar, so be careful with honey dew and cantaloupe. Watermelon is good, refeshing and low in calories. As for exercising, it may be hot so put on the air and try to put on 10 minutes of good music and boogie. xo Barbara Jeanne
