Work Out to See Results; Nice & Easy Here's how! (Step1)

With this article will be following a short stretch video along with a 10 minute workout video. The workout is simple. What I do is hit all the target areas at the same time to shorten a workout. You must get at least 12 minutes of cardio with this stretch & workout 3 to 5 times a week. In doing this you will see a difference in your body within 2 weeks of starting. You can take it slower or push it harder that is entirely up to you, but remember you get out of it what you put into it. I know how hard it is to start working out after years of having children, eating junk food, or just not wanting to do a damn thing, but the problem is it shows and as you let it go longer and longer you start to not be so happy with what you are seeing in the mirror. I have been training longer than most think and most reading this and I know what works and how to get it done right. Being a physical therapy asst., working with an orthopedic surgeon, and being a massage therapist for 14 years I know what is safe, how to see results fast and how to heal an injury. I hope you give this work out a chance so you can look in the mirror and be proud of what you see, what you accomplished and yes you did it! If you aren’t sure what to do for cardio, remember I said get three or four upbeat songs that get your booty moving and your heart going and dance. If at any time you feel like you need to rest not “oh I don’t think I can do this” but “I think I might pass out”…stop and take deep breaths to get the oxygen back into your body. You can do this and I will help you every step of the way. I will be posting drinks, meals as well as good healthy snacks. Food is food let’s get the good food in you that has less calories, and fat and help to move your progress along that much quicker. Barbara Jeanne xo

Let's Get Fit One Step At a Time With My Help! (I'm So Excited)

Spring is here and summer is around the corner.  Don’t you feel it would be nice to be able to pick out the wardrobe you choose to wear instead of wearing what fits around your body? I know you think it is hard and you can’t do this but with my help we are going to achieve this together. I am going to give you tips of what is good to eat, what exercises work and why. I am also going to make my fitness video available to do. Although all my Zumba videos got pulled down and my views are all gone, they now allowed them back up. So along with the old videos and the new ones I will work out each part of the body and explain why and how it will help. We need to start and there is no better time as the present. Don’t be nervous you aren’t going to have the time or space you can do this in bed, standing up or at the leisure of your own time, even watching television. So I look forward to getting everyone looking their best for the summer months and hopefully you’ll be so excited by your new fit look you will want to continue throughout the year. Eating the Right Foods & Easy Exercise to Lose Those Unwanted Pounds

In my series of getting people to have the want to lose those extra pounds, I am here to motivate you. It is extremely hard to have the want to exercise or eat properly all on your own. So here is where I come in to get you up and moving and to not put that extra cookie in your mouth. Remember pounds come on your body very easily so you need to be conscious of what you eat. Starting this week I will have short workout videos for you to follow. These workouts will be fun and simple. We will work out each and every body part. As you get to see what really works you can do it on your own or continue watching my videos. I will do a class titled “Just don’t sit there” which I taught many years for an outreach program. This is for people that are working and as you sit I will teach you some amazing toning ideas. The most important thing is to have fun. This will give you the want to do. Watch out for the amounts you eat. Keep you carb intake low. This means keep away from too much bread and go for grain bread. Make sure you have no allergies to wheat or whatever grain of bread you are eating. Try to stay away from a lot of processed food. If you can cut out one thing that you eat almost every day will help with you calorie intake. Just as in the morning if you have two cups of coffee and use a lot of creamer or sugar. You are in taking in a lot of calories by drinking that second cup of coffee. It is not the coffee it is everything we put in it to make it sweet. We need to train ourselves to stop and think what food our body is in need of. As well as and what your body doesn’t need and this would be over eating food. As if you drink a lot of soda, this not only bloats you it brings in so many unneeded calories into your body. Drink plenty of water, keep away from bread and don’t pick as you cook. If you have children we tend to pick off their food at times, we need to stop this as well. We have 3 weeks until Valentine’s Day and about 5 months until we get to the warmer weather. So let’s make it a point to get in shape so you can throw out all those baggie clothes that you are hiding under. Barbara Jeanne xo

Working Out Keeps Your Body Looking Youthful (So Many Benefits From Exercising)

I got married, had a baby and finished college. Life was going along fantastic when suddenly I found myself living in Vermont. Now Vermont is beautiful but not quite fun for a girl in her young twenties to be placed in a town that everything you did you went to one house. So when we move into an actual town I went to put my college skills to work. I soon found out that it was no long listing of jobs. I did find this one that said “looking for a manager for our aerobics department”. So of course being desperate to mingle in society and get out I went for an interview. I said that I managed before which was very good but I also said I taught aerobics ok maybe I was stretching the truth just a bit. I did teach exercise here and there at college but that was the closes thing any kind of aerobics. I thought to myself “I can do this”, I took dance and gymnastic I’m sure I can figure out something. I had four days to practice until 6:30 Monday night. I went and found every aerobics video I could find and I started watching all the aerobics on television. The videos did give me many ideas but I would soon find out I would get them all confused in my head. Now all I had to do was get my music. The big day was here and I was so nervous. As I did my routine I had made up I looked behind me and people looked a bit frazzled and tangled up as we were stretching. I laughed to myself and thought what am I doing? I finished my class and everyone was very friendly. The next day the boss said that I had to work out but everyone said I had a great personality so I got the job. That was the beginning of my health field career. I taught my little butt of teaching up to twenty five classes a week. The money was pretty good so I continue for many years to come. As I went along I went back to school to work with an orthopedic Dr. and also went back to school to be a physical therapy asst. as well as a massage therapist. Yes you can say that I wore many hats. From managing gyms, owning my own dance and aerobic studio, camp director, personal training, aerobics instructor, gymnastic coach to my last was a fitness director at the YMCA and believe me there’s many more. I truly feel that this kept me young physically and mentally. I can’t explain how important it is to exercise and keep in shape. It helps with not only your health; it builds your confident and keeps you a happier person mentally. I feel it has a big part that keeps not only my body looking youthful but my mind as well. If you say you don’t have the energy, or the well. It’s important to make it. We are using that statement that curves are sexy too much. We also need to separate what is sexy curves and what is overweight because I think the country is running with I’m just curvy. I am not here to put anyone down but to let people know what and asset it was for me in keeping my body looking and feeling young. So we all need to stop making excuses. Stop saying I don’t know how I gained the 10 pounds…etc. We need to get up and make it easy and fun to work out. If you can give yourself ten to twenty minutes a day you will see a difference and before you know it the warm weather will be upon us and you can have that body you want. Not having to hide under baggie clothes, which will be an amazing feeling. So get up and moved that body. Barbara Jeanne xo

It's Time To Get In Control Of Our Lives & Our Weight! (And Feel Good About Ourselves)

It is time to let go of those extra pounds and say hello to the body that you always have wanted. Either it’s the body you never have had or the body you have not seen in a while. Either way it’s time to be the person with body that you have been longing for. We have been making excuses for so long and the populations has gained so much weight that instead of being truthful and saying the curves the we are getting are not curves but too much extra weight and we need to lose it and now. No more making clothes sizes bigger, no more saying the bigger the booty the better. We all know men and women like a bigger booty these days but the booties are getting a bit too big that it’s becoming a bit unflattering. So we have to realize what is sexy and what is healthy. We have to be honest with ourselves about being big bone, having children and any other myth that is out there. The bottom line is our metabolism does get slower as we get older. So if we eat more and exercise less we will gain unwanted weight, and if we have children and are running after them shouldn’t that be speeding our system up a bit. Maybe just maybe we are eating more than we are burning and if this is the case we will gain and continue. Once we put the pounds on we feel defeated that we say we will start that diet tomorrow but tomorrow comes and the diet doesn’t. I don’t believe in dieting but I do believe in eating properly and I do believe in not overeating. It is hard to do but if you can get control over you food intake and the amount of calories that you put into your body. You are on your way to shedding some of your unwanted weight. Once you learn what you can eat to lose those pounds you train yourself what is a yes and what is a no. To lose for women you should try to keep it to 1000 calories and for men it’s about 1500. You have to balance out how many calories you are burning but put it this way, if you have rolls throughout your body you need to lose weight. It something that should be taken seriously not only because of how we look but we have become the most unhealthy country and the heaviest country. What is worse we are teaching people it is okay when it’s not. Dr. Oz has finally come out with a commercial that says it point blank it is not okay to be fat. It’s a word we don’t like to hear but it’s time to get in control of how fit you can be. Barbara Jeanne xo
